SupplyGoare actively seeking SEND Teaching & Learning Support Assistants, to work at a couple of Specialist SEND Schools in the Belper & Matlock Area. The role will consist of working on a 1:1 basis with children aged between 4-20 years old, predominantly with Autism, ADHD, Developmental Language Disorder, and other associated learning difficulties.
The schools specialise in working with students with Autism, ADHD, Global Development Delay, Visual & Hearing Impairments, and they also have a wide number of Speech & Language staff, and Occupational Therapists.
You will be a part of a child’s ongoing development and route to independence and will be working with other professionals to help create a fun nurturing environment. There is nothing better than watching a child grow and develop into a young adult with the knowledge that you have been a large part of that ongoing development. You will be given a comprehensive walk around the school, talk about the roles they have to offer, and be able to ask any questions you have about the schools themselves.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Forming a strong relationship with the children in your care.
- Helping the children become more independent.
- Supporting the children within the class with emotional support.
- Working with other education & SEND professionals.
- Working on a child’s development plan.

Qualifications
- Experience working with children and young adults, particularly in special education settings
- Knowledge and experience in supporting individuals with additional needs
- Teaching Assistant/Learning Support experience or background in education is desired, butnot essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
Hours
- Monday to Friday (No weekends)
- 08:30am - 15:30pm/16:00pm
- Full-Time (Mond to Frid)
- Part-Time (2 or 3 days per week)
